Synthesis and evaluation of a series of 6-chloro-4 methylumbelliferyl glycosides fluorogenic reagents for screening metagenomic libraries for glycosidase activity (Carbohydrate Research 421 (2016) 33-39)

Toronto Research Chemicals Inc. is pleased to offer the following new products developed by Hong-Ming Chen, Zachary Armstrong, Steven J. Hallam, and Stephen Withers.

Stephen Withers and his group at the University of British Columbia have prepared and evaluated a series of novelĀ 6-chloro-4 methylumbelliferyl derivatives which have increased sensitivity.. (ref). 4-MU glycosides are useful diagnostics of glycosidase activity. These compounds release a fluorescent product upon enzymic cleavage of the glycosidic bond. These compounds compliment TRC’s extensive product line of 4-MU products for the study of glycosides.
