Phosphoric acid diethyl octyl ester is part of a group of phosphate derivatives that enhance drug penetration through the skin. Phosphoric acid diethyl octyl ester is also used as a reagent to prepare trialkyl phosphate and phosphorothiolate anticholinesterases.
