Mogroside V is used as a natural sweetener. Existing as a triterpenoidal saponina from the fruit of Siraitia grosvenorii Swingle, mogrosides are often used as a substitute for sugar by the food industry. Also acts as a potential anti-inflammatory for the lung airway.
